Very Cute Baby Doll Shirt

26 Aug

My great aunt sent me a HUGE box of clothes that she didn’t want anymore. I felt like I hit the jackpot. My sister and I were looking through them and she’s wrinkling her nose while I was beaming with joy! ๐Ÿ™‚ A lot of the clothes were 80’s to early 90’s. Lots of elastic and shoulder pads! haha. Well, I found this dress that was ridiculous as-is (sorry no before picture) but I ended up getting this out of it! ๐Ÿ˜€ I love how it turned out. I really wanted it to be a short dress but I made a mistake with the measurements and got a WAY too short dress but a really cute top…with pockets!!! (My favorite part of any outfit.) So, what do you think?

Anthro Inspired Kormalda Cap, Kind of…

26 Aug

This was the Kormalda cap from Anthropologie that I was in love with and wanted (minus the price tag).

This is the hat I made:

It doesn’t really look anything like the Kormalda cap but it has the right idea. I did have the ruffles and flowers attached but I hated the way it looked. I am going to do a final draft soon to see if I can get it right. Let me know what you think. ๐Ÿ™‚

First draft of the rose bib necklace

23 Aug

So here’s the first draft of my rose bib necklace. It was a pretty simple process. It’s definitely not perfect but I thought it turned out very cute. I could probably whip up a tutorial if anyone is interested.

Ugly Blue

26 Feb

To Sweet Blue! I love this dress. When I picked it up at the thrift store for 29ยข I was thrilled! It was really ugly before…but I knew it had potential :). I really do love it…I am thinking about shortening the length but I am not sure what I want to do. Any suggestions? I do know that I need to figure out how to make yellow stockings or leggings! How awesome would that be! I am working on a tutorial right now…just in case anyone ever happens to stumble on this same dress somewhere. ๐Ÿ™‚

Finished Bandeau from Button Down

I made this dress from a women’s size large button down shirt. I am very pleased with the way it turned out. I still need to make a decision on the string that ties around the neck but I am debating between making it out of the left over material or if I should use a white braided cord to add a little different element. Who knows? I should probably decide soon…

Photo Shoot

I went to my bff’s last night while the kids were with their dad and she got pictures of all my skirts. (Better than the pictures I had on here!) So here we go…The first one is a skirt that I made yesterday. I call it the Rock Star Skirt because it is shiny and short and I believe it makes a big statement.

The next skirt I made is a very summery one! I love the layers of ruffles. I was inspired by a skirt I seen at Charlotte Russe. Very feminine!

The last skirt I have to show was actually a dress that I altered because although I loved the pattern I didn’t like the actual dress. It was an easy refashion but I adore it. It is probably my favorite of all the skirts. I hope you enjoy!

Please leave comments and let me know what you think! ๐Ÿ™‚ I am trying to add a gallery page so that you can see more pics of each thing I create. Thanks for looking!

This is the little Valentine’s Day Shirt I made for Gracie.

Cute Little Ruffle Dress

16 Jan

Me

I made this dress out of jersey knit. I used a tank top as the pattern and just added some length. The dress is really tight on me because I forgot to take into account that the tank top was super tight…lol. Let me know what you think.
